These are spent layers that are no longer producing eggs daily. At about 75 weeks and above, we sell all our mature and healthy layer chickens for consumption. These chickens are sold at comparatively cheaper prices than broilers or other mature birds especially during festive season.


Mature hens termed as “spent layers” cease to lay eggs at a profitable rate for commercial purposes. Yet, they offer nutritional value and protein. Typically processed for meat, it’s utilized in soups, stews, and various dishes. The leaner meat, though slightly stronger in flavor, presents an affordable and sustainable protein option.
