Hatching the Dream: The Birth of Petros Farms

It all began in March 2021, a time when Petros Farms was nothing more than a blueprint and a vision. We laid the foundation for three impressive pen (chicken) houses – each a testament to our ambition to redefine poultry farming in Nigeria.

Colors of Creativity: Mural Paintings that Breathe Life

Fast forward to February 2022, and our farm had become a canvas of creativity. Over seven months, our walls transformed into vibrant narratives that inspire us to this day. As we adorned our surroundings with art, we were sowing the seeds that will transform our community.

Where It All Began: The Inaugural Applicant Tour

May 7, 2022, marked a milestone as we opened our doors to potential team members. Their eager footsteps echoed through our corridors, a testament to the excitement that Petros Farms had ignited. Little did they know that they were stepping into a world of opportunity and growth.

Preparation and Anticipation: Countdown to Operation

By July 14, 2022, anticipation was at its peak. As the sun kissed the horizon, we made our final preparations. The air was charged with anticipation for the next day held the promise of something extraordinary.

A Dawn of Feathers: The Birth of Petros Farms

July 15, 2022, dawned with the clucking of 10,000 birds. Petros Farms officially began its journey of nurturing life, health, and, most importantly, quality egg production. Our commitment to becoming Nigeria’s top poultry farm was now in full swing.

A Tale of Triumphs: Growth and Achievements

August 12, 2022, will forever be etched in Petros Farms’ history. Our pioneer ISA BROWN Layer laid her first egg, symbolizing the birth of a new era. Today, we have the capacity to produce more than 35,500 eggs daily, a testament to the dedication of our team.

When Giants Collaborate: Big Dutchman’s Visit

September 13, 2022, witnessed a meeting of minds as Big Dutchman’s team graced our farm. Thomas Ogundiran, Jan Schomaker, Karl-Bernd Fangmann, Frans Bellert, Oyadeyi Temitope, and Awosola Olusola added their expertise to our journey, reinforcing our commitment to innovation.

Adding More Feathers to the Flock: Pen House 2 and 3

December 6, 2022, and December 13, 2023, saw the arrival of 14,000 and 19,600 chickens, respectively, to our pen houses. With each batch, we expanded our reach, fueling our mission to provide quality poultry products in Nigeria while providing job opportunities to our youth.

Eggs of Hope and Progress: A Journey Continues

January 13, 2023, was another moment of pride as our Pioneer ISA BROWN Layer in Pen 2 laid her first egg. It was a gentle reminder that our journey was about progress, growth, and dedication.
